LA LECHE LEAGUE ST. JOSEPH COUNTY:
Any pregnant women, mothers and babies are invited to attend La Leche League Meetings where we explore all topics related to breastfeeding: the good and the bad. Meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7pm at River Park branch library (2022 Mishawaka Ave, South Bend), and the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 10 am at Sunnyside Presbyterian Church (115 S. CHILDBIRTH HELPS:
 (Honor, Education, Labor Preparation, Support)
NATURAL CHILDBIRTH CLASSES
6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. over 3 weeks with add-on breastfeeding workshop available. Held in the home of an expectant couple or at Northern Nutrition in Shipshewana For couples planning childbirth at home or in a birthing center. Limit 7 couples per series. Stephanie Price, teacher, mother, midwife’s assistant, doula Call Stephanie Price, Childbirth HELPS, at (574) 333-4903.$100 for the 3-week class. Fee covers everything. Hosts pay half. Should Steph be at a birth and have to cancel, she will call class participants’ voicemail by 1 p.m. the day of the class. Bring: a pen, a bed pillow, anything special you need, and a snack to share for the LAST CLASS.

BIRTH MATTERS:
We are an education center offering Childbirth Preparation, Breastfeeding, and Newborn Care classes for the pregnant mother and her support person. We also provide a community of support with many classes (baby sign language, cloth diapering, baby wearing), support groups (traumatic birth healing), and activities for parents and their babies during the transition into parenthood.

WOMEN'S CARE CENTER:
FREE Parenting, Prenatal, Prenatal Yoga,Fathers Support, and 1st Time Mom classes (some offered in Spanish) available.  Babe coupons and diapers are given to participating parents.  Classes are held Monday thru Thursday.  Go to www.womenscarecenter.org for locations and times.

Childbirth Center Open House
  If you are expecting a baby, we invite you to our Childbirth Center Open House. Please come to one of our monthly Open House celebrations early in your pregnancy so you can get to know us before your BIG DAY! Join us for an inspiring and informative time together, which will include light refreshments, information about services and a tour of the Childbirth Center. Traditions Photography will be on hand to professionally capture your pregnancy in a complimentary photo. Come anytime between noon and 3 p.m. Tours begin every half hour.
Location: Open Houses begin in the Childbirth Center's Family Education Rooms. Please be sure to park in the Lafayette Street parking garage. Proceed to the third floor and look for the blue illuminated sign at the ceiling of the garage which reads "Memorial Childbirth Center". Enter the hospital through these doors. The Family Education Rooms are just inside. Your educator will be there to greet you. Parking is free for all class participants.

Tuesday two-session Childbirth Education classes at the Mishawaka Campus are held from 6 - 8:30 pm in the OB Education Room on the 4th Floor. There is a maximum of 12 attendees for each class. BREASTFEEDING SUPPORT
The Breastfeeding Support Group at the Mishawaka Campus meets the 1st and third Wednesday of each month from 2 - 3:30 pm in Conference Room C on the Garden Level. Mothers can weigh their babies and ask questions. New and experienced breastfeeding moms welcome. A Lactation Consultant will lead this informal group. HOLISTIC MOMS NETWORK-SOUTH BEND CHAPTER:
Our chapter is a diverse and vibrant group of moms from throughout South Bend and surrounding areas. We welcome all area moms (and dads) with an interest in holistic health and green living.

Our goal is to develop a thriving local community of holistic parents with a wide range of interests. Our chapter holds Monthly Meetings on the second Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m. Please check back for news of our new meeting location!
Our chapter also holds hikes and other outings every month, and regular playdates and playgroups on every Wednesday of the month from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. Please contact us for more details on times and locations for our standing hikes and playgroups. We also have Moms Nights Out, a Book Club, a very active email loop, and more. Visit our Calendar to see these activities for the month. Come on out, get connected to other like-minded moms and dads, and catch the excitement of our community!
Grandparents, partners, and other caregivers are also welcome as members into our organization. Even future parents will find that our organization is a great place to learn and make new friends! ICAN of FORT WAYNE:
international cesarean awareness network 
The International Cesarean Awareness Network Inc. (ICAN) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve maternal-child health by preventing unnecessary cesareans through education, providing support for cesarean recovery, and promoting vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC).  As a local chapter we seek to serve the needs of the women who come to us, including help with local birth and VBAC issues, providing a safe space to process our birth experiences, and promoting cesarean awareness. 
We hold monthly meetings on the 4th Monday of each month.  All are welcome, and there is no cost to attend.
