Jordan will be talking about traumatic birth and how families can work to heal from a past negative birth experience. She will also be sharing information on how a history of abuse can impact a women's birth and breastfeeding relationship. Participants will come away with strategies on how to move through a traumatic birth experience as well as ways to help prepare for the next birth.

The International Cesarean Awareness Network Inc. (ICAN) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve maternal-child health by preventing unnecessary cesareans through education, providing support for cesarean recovery, and promoting vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC).
As a local chapter we seek to serve the needs of the women who come to us, including help with local birth and VBAC issues, providing a safe space to process our birth experiences, and promoting cesarean awareness.
